The Ultimate Green Cars – Chia Cars

May 16th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Okay.  I will admit it.  I’m not a believer in “global warming” and I frankly see most of the “going green” campaigns as a marketing gimmick.  However, that being said, there is something being a responsible global citizen and if “going green” can help save some of my hard-earned green, I’m little more inclined to be interested.

So what is the ultimate green car?  A Honda Insight? A Toyota Prius? A Tesla Roadster? A golf cart? Your bicycle? Or is it this?

It’s the Grassy Beetle!  There is a strange faction of people out there pimping their cars, not with bling but with blades of grass. Remember the old Chia Pets?  Well there say hello to the Chia Car!

You can see more Chia Cars here and if you want to read about all things automotive and green check out the fine work being done by the folks at AutoBlogGreen.

Yeah I guess that’s what a green car would literally look like. But does it get good mileage is the real question!?!??!?

Another thing I want to talk about is bioheat, it’s just one small measure that people can take in order to start living a greener lifestyle.

Has anyone ever heard of it, or has switched to it? I want to start taking initiative in turning my home into a greener household, one way I have started is by switching out all my lightbulbs in my home to energy efficient lightbulbs. And I am also seriously considering switching over to bioheat as an alternative to regular oilheat. The thing that I love the most about it is that it’s completely clean burning, and is comprised of a b5 blend of oils which are derived from natural plant and vegetable sustainable resources such as corn, hemp, and avocados just to name a few. If you all want more information on how bioheat, just go on to http://oilheatamerica.com/index.mv?screen=bioheat I work with NORA to bring this info to you all!

Hmm…how about a Chia motorcycle? It’s fuel efficient and offers a smaller carbon footprint.
